Digital Nomad Visas - Now set to be introduced in Spain!

For those of us considering jumping the UK ship, (a prospect that’s looking more and more enticing) a new Spanish Visa has been introduced that could make this much more feasible. Following suit of lots of other attractive destinations (Bermuda, Portugal, Croatia to name a few) and is developing a Digital Nomad Visa for non-EU/EEA citizens.

Announced in 2021, the new Digital No-Mad Visa is an immigration option designed for the increasingly popular remote worker, those who fancy a change of scene whilst maintaining a contact, and payment, from a company based in their home country.

 The visa has been developed in line with Spain’s determined transition to becoming a global cultural and economic hub across all modern industries, developed to attract waves of desired people who would then, in term, fuel Spain’s growing economy.  .

 The new visa would mean digital no-mads, entrepreneurs and only who needs only a solid WIFI connection to work could settle in Spain without having to apply for a long-term work visa. Under the new scheme, registration fees would also be stopped, making the process of starting a new company simpler and easier.
